My soon-to-be six year old daughter has asked for a confetti cake for her birthday. Having never made this flavour before, I'm struggling to come up with a buttercream that would go nicely with it? It is for our family party, so it doesn't have to be overly kid friendly (she likes most buttercream flavours anyways!).

Thanks for your ideas!

Any one! Buttercream can be flavored *ANY* way you want. Funtetti cake is nothing more than white cake w/sprinkles added so it does not change the flavor. It is white cake.

Confetti cake is just white cake with sprinkles, right? If so, that's a blank canvas and anything goes! What color is she asking for? Perhaps you can use that as your inspiration--pink, maybe strawberry?? Yellow, a lemon frosting? And of course there's always chocolate!!

She loves pink...so I think a strawberry or raspberry buttercream would work well...thanks to you both!
