Hi everyone!

I've never airbrushed before and I have a cake for Saturday that I would love to try and airbrush.

The only problem is that I can't find edible airbrush paint anywhere. I've called all the Cake/Party stores in my area, and all the hobby shops...No one has them. I also looked online, and overnight shipping is ridiculously expensive.

Is there anyway to make an airbrush color? Maybe with Gel colors and vodka? I'm icing the cake with Crusting Buttercream. If I do it with Vodka, All the vodka will evaporate right? It's a children's party.

I have the bottles of airbrush colors but I have read on here that people do use the normal gel colors mixed with Vodka. And yes, the vodka will evaporate and you won't have to worry about that.
I would make sure the gel is completely mixed with the vodka so you don't get any clogs and you should be good to go. Good luck!

I tried that, but I guess my airbrush is broken. It was a cheap one anyway. So I just ended up coloring the buttercream!
