WHat is the difference between isomalt and the Lorann Hard Candy kits that you can buy at Hobby Lobby?

Isomalt is a sugar substitute meant for really high tempatures. Im not sure exactly what kind of sugar mix they use in Lorann Kits but it would probably burn or cloud if you try to use it in the same way isomalt is used. Like I dont think you can blow sugar using regular granulated sugar because it would scorch.
