I use Wilton food coloring at the moment, but they only sell it in 1 oz bottles. Whenever we make red velvet, we go through so many of these little bottles. I was wondering if anyone had any idea where I can buy a bigger container of food coloring gel paste. I've read up on food coloring liquids but apparrently they don't color as strongly as gels. And I also don't want to skew the ingrediants ratio in the cake. Any ideas anyone?

Americolor sells big bottles and they are much better for coloring than Wilton IHO

Wow! Thanks for the links!! I'm assuming these are the same gel pastes as the little 1 oz wilton bottles?

CWR41 - Have you used the Chef Master coloring? Is it comparable to Americolor?

Thanks for the info!!!

It's for gel pastes. (probably not the same as Wilton... hopefully better, but similar.)

Yes, I've used Chefmaster liquid and paste (not the gel paste). I'm sure it's comparable to Americolor.
