I need suggestions on what I might be able to use to make fondant look like canvas?

You can use a wire basket sifter/strainer. That is what I used for my suitcase cake and it looked like a canvas surface. HTH Cat

Thanks! That is a great idea, I had wracked my brain trying to think of things around the house I could use but I would never have thought of that.

You could press it with actual canvas. They sell it at Michaels.

You can use too the metalic or plastic used to make the screens for the windows at any hardware store, Lowes or Home Depot.
