i followed a recipe for dense cake. I used funfetti cake mix, 4 eggs, 1/2 cup oil, 1/2 cup milk.

It cooked okay, I poked it with toothpick and it came out clean. I set it out to cool and it collapsed in the center. =(

Not sure what I did wrong but I will be redoing it without the dense cake recipe.

Isnt that Funfetti a white cake with different colors in it? if so...everything Ive read on making a dense cake for 3D, says to NOT USE A WHITE CAKE AS ITS TOO FLUFFY AND WONT STAY UP....

Wonder if thats the problem, now Im scared, Im working on a 3D pan....

Here are the links for the white and chocolate variations. This is probably the cake I make the most often... people love it. I always bake at 325F, once you have your timing down by pan size, you'll find that it is very consistent.
