I am looking to buy a giant cup cake mould, the metal ones are around £26 but I can get a silicone one for around £8 was wondering what your experience was with them.

I have a metal cupcake pan (regular sized) and a silicone one. I often use them at the same time with the same batter. I am about to throw out my silicone one! The cupcakes in the metal pan always rise better and take less time to bake than the silicone pan. I haven't taste tested the cupcakes but I hate that the silicone pan takes so much longer. I worry about them drying out.
