So I'm making a cake for a guy I work with who is leaving at the end of the month and I want to somehow incorporate his career at NASA and his former time in the Navy on a submarine. The only problem is that I'm not entirely sure how to incorporate space and submarines into one cake.

Any ideas?

you could try making the submarine half submerged, and a night sky with the constellations making the belt of orion or the big dipper showing... and him sitting on the sub admiring the night sky... HTH...
