Hi Cakers!!! icon_biggrin.gif

I just recvd. my steamer from icingimages!!!!! Yay!!! Instructions state how to clean the printer head which include taking the ink cart. out.

I was wondering, can the ink stay out of the printer while not in use???? I'm thinking if no ink in the printer head, them no clogs????

Will the ink dry out if left out???

Debbie, I hope you are reading this.....=)

Thanks,
Michael icon_biggrin.gif

i was told to put them into a ziplock bag,but take out as much air as you can from the bag before zipping it up.

We use to recommend that. But we found that it causes more problems. With the ink in the idol position, it does more than just keep the ink in the printhead. It also keeps the resorvoir sponge damp as well. That is a part in the printer. If that dries out, it can make it seem like you have a clog when you dont. I still would recommend keeping them in. That being said, with the gold label cartridges and the steamer, alot of problems can be avoided and fixed.
