I have looked through the forums thinking I had seen a recipe for fondant with kool aide drink mix in it but can't find a recipe.
Am I dreaming has anyone made a recipe with these ingredients before?

I have made fondant with kool-aid. It was delicious!! thumbs_up.gif I just added the kool-aid to the water in the recipe (and made sure the water was hot so that the kool-aid would dissolve).

I bet it gives great color to the fondant, too.

Yes, it does! Not so much primary, but nice vibrant colors.

This sounds interesting. How much kool aid do you add?

I add the whole packet. All of it, dissolved into a couple Tbsp. of water. It ends up tasting a little bit like fondarific...or starburst candy. thumbs_up.gif

Do you mean Tiffany box turquoise, or more of a teal color?

And where does one find the recipe for Jello Fondant? I've seen it mentioned here before, but that was a very long time ago.

What I keep wondering is if by using jello or kool aid, does it change anything else beside the color and taste??

Hm, I couldn't pull it up either! For the kool aide flavored fondant I just mixed the amount of water called for in the recipwith the packet of kool aide powder (I used hot water so it would dissolve). Then added that amount to the marshmallows and melted the marshmallows as usual.
As for the jello fondant I think its similar to Michelle Fosters fondant recipe, try exchanging the plain gelatin with the flavored jello.
