Hi, I have made 2 sponges for a two tier cake, torted and crumb coated them ready to cover in fondant.
My friend has just telephoned and said her mum has been taken into hospital. This is who the cake is for, so the cake will not be wanted at the moment.
Sometimes I do freeze my cakes but this one hasn't been, so can I freeze it with the filling in and crumb coated? I have used Indydebi's buttercream.
Thanks for any advice icon_biggrin.gif

It would be perfectly fine to freeze it. Just wrap well. Hope your friend's mother is on the mend in no time!

I have one in the freezer now that I would like to take out and decorate. Is is okay to refreeze after decorating?
