Does anyone have a fortune cookie recipe that will stay crunchy and doesn't come out a splotchy brown? I'm going to dip them in chocolate and gift bag them. I also need to figure out what the best chocolate is to use(doesn't melt in the bags).
This one's ok - I tried it a couple times and it's pretty crunchy and I never got splotches when they baked. However fortune cookies are just the biggest pain in the tush to make. I've made dipped fortune cookies using store bought cookies and it's just so much easier and the cookies always stay nice and crunchy (probably because they are filled with those yummy preservatives) If you want to make your own fortune cookies and then dip them as well - you must love playing with your food...a lot Hope it goes well
