Hello,

I am in the midst of working on a cake. I have baked a 13x9x2 cake. Now, I've never carved a cake and really want to do a good job. I have a small violin and I"m guessing to trace it a bit larger to fit the size of the pan but I guess I"m afraid of using a knife to this cake for fear that I will mess up.

Any suggestions or tips on how to carve a violin and bow out of this 13x9x2 cake.

This cake is due on Saturday morning and I plan on working on carving tonight. Please help!!! I'm not very confident in myself right at the moment.

I have never carved a violin, but I would trace picture of a violin onto cardboard and use that as the template. I am anxious to see how it out though. I am supposed to do something similar for my FIL in October. Good luck

I would go with mightydragon663 advice. You can do this thumbs_up.gif . Just take your time and cut small area's. Before you know it you have a violin. Take a few deep breaths and go to it. icon_smile.gif
