I baked a chocolate cake yesterday, and after it was out of the oven an hour or two, I wrapped each layer in saran wrap, then a freezer bag, and placed them in the freezer. How long is it safe to keep in the freezer without losing any flavor/moisture?

I have eaten them after 3 months and they taste great - very moist. A lot depends on what kind of cake you make. I generally use WASC or choc WASC. However, I try to keep it a max of 6-8 weeks. I wrap in Glad seal n' wrap, then 2 bags on top of that and it keeps it super fresh! Freezer bag should work really well too.
