i want to make a wedding cake but dont know the servings...i have wilton square pans...is the wilton wedding serving guide an accurate thing to follow to figure out serving count?
A standard serving size is 1x2x4 inches or 2x2x2 inches = 8 cubic inches of cake.

i just want to mention that these serving sizes are what the wilton wedding chart is based off of. Well the 1x2x4 servings since they figure the wedding cakes to be 4" tall.
Earlene also has this available: http://www.earlenescakes.com/ckserchart.htm
but its much bigger servings than the Wilton (so more cake, same price). Wilton is pretty much the norm and I go with that.

why would someone sell more cake for the same price?
indy - is there just a picture of the way you cut the cake that is easy to print out?
Either copy the photos from the blog onto a Word document and print those ..... or my website is still up (not sure for how much longer) and that page is easily printable: http://cateritsimple.com/id10.html
