I'm not sure I under stand what a "crossed" hockey stick is? If you mean a regular ice hockey stick, you could bake a sheet cake and the cut the shape of the stick and piece them together. Once you ice it or cover it with fondant, it will look like one piece. Or, you could just make small hockey sticks out of fondant/gumpaste mix and place it on top of the cake.

are you referring to the tiered cakes that have 2 hockey sticks in the front that are crossed? Each stick is probably 2 ft. long or so? If so, I'd just buy mini hockey sticks...they usually sell them at hockey games as souvenirs.

Thank you... I just needed a start! I am going to make a sheet cake to look like rink...on the ice put the crossed hockey sticks make out of gum paste with oero hockey puck. I hope it turns out. It is for my son's best friend who has begged me all year to make his cake.
