I have a request for a princess cake. I want it to be grand and over the top. Doesn't have to be huge, but awesome.

Anyone have a great princess cake picture to share. Looking for some inspiration.

Thanks to anyone that wants to share!

Do you want a barbie doll cake or a castle cake? I have done both recently and was quite happy with the way they turned out:

Someone suggested setting back the Princess Belle cake on the 10 inch round and I liked that look. I did the castle without a kit (used ice cream cones). It worked out well with the moat and the water and hills all around....
Please post pic after!

I am not sure what I want, just something cool. I like the idea of several tiers, and something unique. Thanks for both your replies!

How about a pillow cake with a tiara on top. Their are lots of pics on here. Here's one the one from the articles section with a tutorial:

Or how about a cake with a carriage on top?

I always loved the pillow cakes with either a tiara or shoe on top. Good luck, and make sure you post pictures of the finished product icon_smile.gif

Was there one princess in particular that is preferred? I recently did a Princess and the Frog themed cake for my niece that looked very elegant...

Sparklekat.... I love love love your cake....
So many questions though... How did you make that gorgeous princess? How did you put the glass globe on there, without piercing the cake? I could go on and on, but so far this is my fave!

I'm a beginner and my first cake was a princess cake for my little daughter.

I made it last month.

Thanks for you compliments. I too am a beginner and the kind words help the ego and keep me trying new things. I tried to see your cake but I couldn't get access. Is it posted on CC?
