Good morning everyone!
I am planning on making a buttercream sheet cake for labor day weekend. I am also trying to figure out a way to work it around a little vacation with the family. So my question is will a basic buttercream frosted sheet cake still be fresh and tasty if i complete it a full 24+ hours ahead? I usually work with fondant so i appreciate any tips!

All my cakes are completed the night before pickup. 12-24 hours ahead.

If i finish the cake completely on friday night and deliver it for a 2:00 party on sunday afternoon am i stretching it? Taste is always the most important but in this case i would really like to finish this early!

OMG yes! BC gets better the more in advanced you make it. The sugar from the icing infuses the cake. I do 2 days in refrigeration. Just place in a box and go have fun on vacation+ have your cake and eat it to! ENJOY!
