Ok so Im doing a 3d sea turtle and great white shark as a wedding cake! Yes I said wedding cake!!! lol They want everything ediable, But I'm haveing trouble trying to decide what to make the sharks fins out of. I was going to do them out of rk treats and cover them in chocolate to make them smooth, but I'm concered that they will be to heavy, then I was thinking of doing them out of gumpaste, but now I'm wondering when I airbrush the shark will the gumpaste turn a different color then the fondant? What do you all think?????

Have you thought about Gum paste or pstillage?

either would hold it's shape

I was thinking gumpaste but I'm concered that when I airbrush the whole thing the fins will be a diffrent color because the fins are made out of gumpaste and the rest is fondant

Oh I think doing them out of gumpaste would be a great idea!

I mean afterall...are sharks fins the exact same color and texture as their bodies? icon_wink.gif

This sounds like a riot! Have fun!
