About 3 months ago, I decided that for a lark, I'd try a topsy turvy cake. Didn't have anyone to make it in real cake for so I did a styrofoam dummy. About half way through I was feeling so good that I decided to take it to the Missouri State Fair. I sent the paperwork off and then went on vacation for 2 weeks. When I came back, a couple of days before I needed to deliver the cake, I decided to add the little girl figure. I think that was what pushed me over the top. I won a blue ribbon in my division, AND GRAND CHAMPION of decorated cakes. Who would have guessed? This was my first time entering.
We went to the fair to go to a concert and took pictures.
Bummer, I can't get the picture to attach. I'ts the first pic in My Photos.
Congratulations! It's a gorgeous cake, and I can see why you won! How cool!
It's adorable, and so well done. Congratulations!
It's just gorgeous! Not your average topsy turvy cake. No wonder you won! It's terrific!
Can't help but think of Mary Engelbreit when I see your cake! Really cute....
Maybe I can get this pic to attach. Nope
You must be so excited and proud of your accomplishment! Your cake is beautiful. Like a PP stated, it reminds me of Mary Engelbreit. Just lovely!!
