I'm going to try the Hershey recipe this weekend if it's carve-able. I'm not sure what I'm making yet (it's for my niece's 19th birthday) but she wants a chocolate cake. I figured this was a good opportunity to try it out.
Yup, it's nice and dense and moist so it works well for carving. I always start with a frozen cake, fill it then carve it before it thaws. Works great!
