I am covering a board with fondant for the 1st time (alot of first for me on this cake)

Do I cover the board 1st then sit my cake on it OR do I put my cake on the board and cover the cake and the board at the same time? Same piece of fondant.

I had so much trouble with my Satin Ice yesterday I am almost afraid to try all in one.

You can do it a number of ways.

Some do cover cake and board in one go, not my preferred choice.

Another is to put cake on board and then using strips cover the board, I find this time consuming.

The way I go as I find it is done in minutes. Finely spray board with water, lay fondant right over board the cut away the middle approximately the size of the cake, that way you don't waste fondant.

Hope that helps.
