I need help with the wilton 3d train cake pan. I have tried make the cake multiple times but I can never get it to come out right. Half the cake will be look normal but the other half doesn't rise to fill the pan. I've tried making it with the wilton instructions but it always comes out looking under-baked. I've even overbaked it once but it still undercooked on one side.

I had trouble with this too when i made the 3d train cake, i had read that pound cake worked best but when i made 3 pound cakes they didn't rise enough. In the end i used a box mix of yellow cake and it rose perfectly and came out as it should, i didn't find the cake hard to work with either
Hope this helps icon_biggrin.gif

Can you weigh the two sides? Also try switching places halfway through the baking. I haven't done that one but I have the egg.
