I love Sugarshack's buttercream recipe and own almost all of her videos (they are AWESOME!) In her most recent video, she showed a technique for coloring the whole batch of icing. I'm doing a cake this weekend and I need to get two colors out of the same batch of icing. Does anyone have any good tips/tricks for coloring a half batch of icing without adding air bubbles to it????

I color mine in small batches all the time. I've never tried to do it in the mixer though. Just a bowl and a spatula. I stir it slowly so I don't create air bubbles.

Thanks icon_smile.gif That helps. I was nervous to try because the last time I tried to add color to a partial batch using the mixer, my icing had so many air bubbles I wanted to cry.
