ASo, I love the idea of this method, but, have a question about it. What do you do with the first slice? Do you lay it on the wooden board? What if its decorated with something? Or simply doesn't have a wide enough "brim"? The diagram shows indydebi cutting the second strip, just cant see how to do the first.
AYou just cut and serve it. If it has decorations, you pull anything inedible off, before you start to cut. I think it is impolite to fiddle with the slices of cake. Just serve it and they can skin their own slice.
AWell, what I mean is when I cut the first 2 inch wide strip if I lay it down the ends will hang off the cake board.
