So I was in a hurry. . . I didn't have a good hold and my cake slipped when I was turning it out of the pan, It has cracked, basically into two pieces. Should I attempt to patch it with some butter cream and ice it as usual? Technically I have time to bake another one, but if there's any salvaging this one I need some tips on how to do it. I am thinking that I could use it as the bottom layer and glue it together it might still work.

If the cake is firm it should work with no problem. If it's only in 2 pc, you can glue it with bc. When I make 1/2 and 1/2 cakes, that's what I do, just glue to 2 together.
