Ok so I'm making a cake for my mil in a few weeks. She loves coffee so I was thinking I'd do a chocolate cake with Vanilla latte buttercream (I've made the icing before and it was a big hit) my question is... I was considering using Chocolate or Coffee Ganache to it. I'm just not sure if it needs it... and if so which kind? Coffee or Chocolate? And if Coffee should I do the same kind as the icing or a different coffee flavor? I'm just kind of confused lol I'd appreciate everyones opionion.

Mocha flavoured swiss merigue buttercream is yummy with chocolate cake brushed with ganache. I just mix stong double shot of expresso (cooled down) into the buttercream and sometime add baileys to it. Best of luck!
