I'm doing a cake with a frog on it and wanted to know if I should do the frog with a star tip? Or do a FBCT?

What's your opinion?

Generally, a star tip is going to be quicker, but I prefer FBCT. You can get so much more detail with a transfer than just filling in with stars.

I'll second the FBCT. I am just not a fan of stars. They are a pain in the butt to do and look out dated. FBCT all the way!

I'd go with a FBCT too. They just look nicer imo.

Another option could be to do a chocolate transfer. The technique is similar to the FBCT but I personally find it easier to handle.

Well, I made a FBCT but unfortunately since my house has been over 90 degrees inside, it melted just as it touched the cake. So I had to scrape off the melted mess from the cake and ended up doing the star tip. It still came out pretty cute. (I'd show you a picture of it but it still won't let me download pictures here)

dandelion - how do you do a chocolate transfer? (and where in CA are you?)
