I have a cake order that requires cups that look like the plastic bbq cups-the basic ones that usual come in red or blue with white insides. Has anyone ever made a cup? And if so what did you make it out of? I thought I could just do fondant, but like usual I come here because you all have such good tips and ideas to bounce off of. TIA

Are you talking about cakes that look like cups or cup decorations? If I was making cup decorations I would add tylose to my fondant and use a plastic cup as a mold by placing the fondant over the top of the cup and let it dry. I would spray the outside of the cup with cooking spray just to make sure the fondant wouldn't stick while drying.

it's not a cake that looks like a cup-its a square cake with cups on it for a beer pong competition hehe I'll have to try using a cup as a mold that sounds interesting
