I have this set to make a moth orchid

I am curious if I can make it without the wire?? I have watched tutorials on how to make them and everyone uses wire I was hoping not too but I am thinking it may be unavoidable...

Which leads me to ask if it is safe to have wire on or in the cake?? I have heard it is not. I was going to buy the 28g paper covered wire from Globalsugarart if I need to use wire and I am hoping to avoid inserting it in the cake is this possible???

Yes, you can do them without wires. Just make all your parts and put them together on a cup covered with foil.

I make roses and orchids using toothpicks or wooden skewers if they need a longer "stem". You can then just insert them right into the cake. HTH
