You guys always have the best suggestions so here goes. I need to make a cake in the shape of an apple to yield at least 25 servings. Should I stack and carve 3-10" cakes or... I was thinking about making 2 halves of my soccer ball pan, put it together and carve just a little to get the apple shape? I have no carving skills to speak of so, I guess I want an easy way to do this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. If my cake sizes are off, let me know too! icon_biggrin.gif

Hello,

My guess is, if your carving skills arent very good, starting with a round shape to begin with would be best. icon_smile.gif You wouldnt have to do too much cutting!

Thanks so much for your input, I think I will do a trial run with the soccer ball pan and see what happens. icon_cool.gif
