I just want to ask if anyone can give me the best cake recipe that I can use when I am planning to cover it with fondant.
I researched about Madeira cake for it being the best with fondant and tried to bake one. It is dense and I guess sturdy if covered in fondant though I find the cake a bit dry. Thank you.

2nd time today i've heard of Madeira cake being dry. I like WASC (White Almond Sour Cream). You can find the recipe and many flavor variations on this website. It's moist, dense and sturdy.
