I've done my first wedding cake and it was a success! Now I've got my 2nd wedding cake order, but this one is more of a challenge.

Can anyone look at this picture and give me any advice on how to do the cascading flowers (how they are attached - I'm sure they are silk - are they all one long strand?), and what type of chocolate is used on this, and how they got it to drip so perfect down the sides? Any advice or suggestions you can give will be greatly appreciated!

Are you talking about how to create the ganache drip or how to stack them?

IMHO, and other may disagree, I would say Frost, Stack, Ganache drip and then pipe your border.

I know how to stack the cakes. I am wanting to know how to do the Ganache drip - and how are the silk flowers attached? Are they one long arrangement, and then attached to the top and bottom? Or are they a bunch of flowers stuck into the cake individually?

The chocolate is ganache. I just spoon it around the edges and then let it drip down the side. The flowers are individually placed in a cascade. I have a best friend that is a florist. SHE does all my flower placement for me. I don't have that particular "gift".

I will have to make a practice cake using Ganache, so I can get the hang of it icon_smile.gif
