I need to color some bc silver for piping. Should I use luster dust mixed in gel or silver luster dust in bc or just make a grey bc? Anyone ever done this?

If you mix piping gel with silver dust, it will like very silver (instead of gray).

Are you talking about making it a shiny silver? After the buttercream crusts, you can brush it with luster dust, mixed with a little extract or edible shellac. A lot of times, I use royal icing instead, as it dries faster
