Do 4 Large Eggs Equal 3 Extra-Large Eggs?

my cake recipe calls for 3 extra-large eggs but all i have on hand is large....
will 4 large be an equivalent?

Adding an extra egg will not hurt the cake, so using 4 large will probably only result in about 1/2 egg extra. I always add an extra egg to my box mixes to make them a little more dense.

thank you so much! i was worried an too much egg might be a problem, but i was unsure wether too much or too little would be worse. sometimes i think i need to be chemist to bake a cake icon_smile.gif.
