Don't see why not it's just a cake like any other recipe. I would place the cake in a cake box and wrap well with plastic wrap or cover the box in a plastic bag. When thawing I would either place the cake on the counter or in the fridge leaving the plastic bag over the box to hold in the moisture.

I made Cakeman cupcakes and swirled them with Decorator's Cream Cheese Frosting. They froze wonderfully in a Tupperware container.

yes I have one in there right now. It won't affect the taste I had some scraps in a placstic bag that I kept snacking on and they were deish!
