First off, I live in Australia so this makes it harder for me to get the proper mini cupcake inserts. I was quoted $152.65USD in postage alone from brpboxshop, and while I'm sure their inserts are exactly what I need, I cannot justify spending that much! I have also checked Ebay and that works out even more expensive (it would cost me over $7 per box with insert )
So.. how else can I package them so my customers can easily transport them? At the moment I am selling them in lots of 3 dozen, and simply sitting them in a cake box that is 10x10. However a lot of people would prefer to buy them in 2 dozen lots instead. Which size cake box do you think will work?
Or do you have any other ideas on how to box them up?
Thanks in advance
well, googling turned up:
http://www.bakewaredirect.com.au/Cupcakes/Cupcake-Box-BD
http://cakedeco.com.au/whatsnew.asp
http://www.packagingplace.com.au/_catalog_48304/Cupcake_Boxes
and here's a search:
http://www.google.com/search?q=plastic+food+containers+australia&btnG=Search&num=30&hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=SYJ&rlz=1R1GGLL_en___US359&sa=2
the trick was adding Australia to the search words
cupcake boxes Australia <<example
Thanks Doug I checked those places out, however the "mini" cupcake inserts we sell here are too large for the mini cupcakes.
do they have plastic portion cups (like what salad dressing on the side might be put in) that would be the size of a mini?
if so...
can get those and glue them to any board.
then just plop the cuppies in the cups.
