Yesterday was the Baked Pie competion at our country fair. The weather has been brutal. 100º+ for weeks now and knowing the cakes would be in a non-air conditioned building I passed on even considering one.

I entered 3 pies in the contest, took home a blue, a red and Grand Champion! I am SOOOOO proud! The winner was my sugar-free sweet potato pie in a whole wheat crust.

I'm putting together a recipe book I hope to have ready by Thanksgiving and this should be just the shot in the arm I need for sales!!
