I've had a request for a wedding cake to serve 100 people. She wants alternating square and round layers... starting with a bottom square tier.

What sizes should I use????

Having the square on the bottom makes it easier on you.

Start at the top.

- A 6" square serves 18.
- A 6" square is 6" across but is 8.5" from corner to corner, so it won't fit on an 8" round ..... by the time you add any border you will definitely have some overhang.
- A 6" square will sit on a 10" round.
- A 10" round will serve 38 and will sit on a 12" square.
- A 12" square serves 72.

Grand total servings: 128

perfect fit indydebi thumbs_up.gif and if the top is used for the 1st anniversary, it's only a few servings more icon_smile.gif
