I have been asked to make a golf cake for a soon to be 2 yr old. I am not sure what to do. I know if it were for someone older it would be simple but for a 2 yr old child what do I do? Please someone if you have any idea what to do for a golf theme birthday cake for a 2 yr old I would really appreciate any ideas or advice
Thank You in advance
Molly

A golf theme cake for a 2 year old sounds like it's an idea to please the parents rather than the child, so go ahead and do the design you'd do for someone older.

I kind of thought the same but I was really trying to consider the child and was wondering if anyone had any cute ideas I could tie in to this theme

Thank you

I really wouldn't worry to much about the child getting a big kick out of the cake -- the sugar rush is about all they are looking for.

that being said:

a Par-Two Par-Tee??? play off the number of strokes required to sink the shot.

Hole Two --- as in he/she is a WHOLE TWO years old??

a favorite toy or character playing golf (like elmo in a Tam o' Shanter, v-neck sweater, plaid pants and holding a golf club)??

Teeing off in to a new year?

Tee (time) at Two?

Tee for Two?

I would do colorful Fisher-Price-type golfing toys

OR

Animated golf items (e.g. the golf ball having eyes and a smile.)

I loved the animated golf idea.

you could do a sheet cake to be the grass/course and then for the 2 year old do a round cake on top that looks like an animated golfball, for them to attack and have all for themselves.
