Replacing Yogurt In Cake Recipe

help, i am trying to find the perfect lemon bundt cake recipe w/o yogurt and lots of butter. What can I replace yorgurt and butter with?

For me, if I have to substitute more than one ingredient I tend to look for another recipe.

But in general, butter can be replaced with Crisco or vegetable oil or even applesauce-all will have different effects on both taste and texture.

The yogurt needs to probably be replaced with either sour cream or buttermilk, regular milk would not have the correct acidity and would throw off the recipe.

I agree with the previous poster...if I have to change more than one ingredient in a recipe I'll use a different recipe. I've used yogurt in place of sour cream in a recipe many times.
