I am making a corona cake for my cousins birthday, and I was wondering what would be a fun flavor icing and cake to use. I was thinking something with a beach tropical feel to it. I usually just use vanilla. Can you add flavoring to box mix? I have rum and coconut flavoring already but it's nothing to go buy something to use. Any ideas?

Lime! Always gotta stick a lime wedge in the mouth of the Corona bottle, so why not incorporate that into the cake?

Yes, you can add flavoring to a mix. Why not sub out some of the water for lime juice, and some of the vanilla for rum extract?
