I need to make a white cake with a strawberries and cream filling. The cake will be in the car for about an hour and a half so I don't want to use a whipped cream. Does anyone have any recipe suggestions for a cream filling that will hold up as a filling and in the car? Thanks!!
Try adding some gelatin to the whipped cream. Add 2 Tsp gelatin to 4 tsp cold water. Microwave stirring often until completely dissolved. Let it cool to room temperature. Gelatin should be liquid but not warm. Then beat 1 cup whipping cream until soft peaks. Slowly pour in the gelatin in s steady stream beating constantly. Use confectioners sugar to sweeten.
