Leopard Print On Buttercream

I have painted leopard print on fondant. Can you do that on crusted buttercream?

Sure.. just don't get it too wet. I use soft gel paste color which is almost liquid.. I would do it with a stencil and airbrush tho.. the fuzzy edge would give a more realistic look.. or if I were in a rush, I'd go with a Lucks designer print transfer.

I don't have an airbrush yet. How difficult is it to learn?

take a look at the last cake i posted it has a loepard/ cheetah print done in buttercream.

You also can pipe it on and then pat it down once it's dry

that looks awesome! i never would have guessed you airbrushed over the print. did you pipe and pat? about how long did that take?

Thanks for your help everyone! Sweetcakes, that is a beautiful cake. I would have never guessed it is buttercream. I think it is time to invest in an airbrush machine.
