Hi Everyone-
I was invited to be a "celebrity baker" (term used loosely! haha) at an event for a charity who throws birthday parties for underpriveleged children. It's a really big deal and I want to make a FABULOUS cake. I'm kicking around some ideas but the criteria is very vague. All they've instructed us to do is make a 12" round bottom tier with an 8" round top tier and to decorate it in a "child's theme". So I'm guessing I should focus on a child who is between 6 & 10 years old but I need to be gender-neutral. Any amazing ideas out there? I don't have time to look through the 3400 pages of children's cakes in the gallery so I thought I'd start here.
Thanks in advance!!

it could be for more than one child so they didn't give any details. I don't have specific cakes in mind, just theme ideas - balloons, ice cream, circus, penguins, or something from a wilton book.

Love the ideas!! Thanks so much! icon_smile.gif I've already sketched out 4 cakes with these themes, now I just need to decide which one. It's a toughie!

Maybe the cake itself could have the rainbow colored batter.
