So, I am doing my first Caste Cake with the Wilton kit, and my question is this:

Is this put together once you get to the location or is it done before hand?

I did a castle cake back in December using the kit for a friend's daughter's birthday. I made the entire thing at home and transported it in the back of my car for an hour drive. I'm assuming your concern is transporting it....I didn't have any problem getting it there.

I've made two cakes with it. The first one I assembled at home and delivered. One of the towers on the cake board fell over, but it was easily fixed on site. The second one was very large and was for a wedding so I didn't take any chances and transported in pieces and assembled on site.
