Does anyone know how to stick sugar flowers onto the top of a wedding cake and down the side? A few people say use royal icing, is it strong enough to hold it to the side of the cake and not break off?

Most of them are probaly wired and stuck to the cake with a barrier.

the bride didnt want the sugar fressias as part of a stem and wanted it as individual flowers for the cake... do I directly royal ice the flowers ontot the cake, or use bits of sugarpaste?
