Hi there

Does anyone have a a recipe which produces a white batter? Most of my recipes turn out quite yellow, but I want to make some rainbow cupcakes, so need to start out with white. I guess it's the eggs and butter that make it yellow....?

Any suggestions (besides "use a box mix") welcome!

Thanks, Rachel icon_surprised.gif)

I'm not sure what all you are putting in your cakes but my guess is that the eggs are what is turning your cakes yellow. Try using only egg whites. HTH

I ran across this recipe a few weeks ago and I'm addicted, even have made the rainbow cake with it and I liked how it turned out. Nice and firm as well as really moist

1 box Betty Crocker Super Moist white mix
1 cup water
1/4 sour cream
1/3 cup oil
4 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond

Combine on low for 1 minute increase to medium speed for 3 more minutes. bake at about 325 but size of pan changes times a six inch round for me took about 30 minutes so theres a hint at time I guess. Hope this helps
