Hi everyone! im quite new to this and would be grateful for any advice you can give me!
Ive made a shoe out of flowerpaste/gumpaste on saturday, up until last night it all seemed fine and was drying nicely but when i've got up this morning its all sticky and seems to have melted slightly :confused. I'd left it in the kitchen overnight. Im wondering if it was too warm because of the sunlight coming through the blinds?? can anyone tell me how I should store it until I need to put it on the cake on Friday??

thanks xxxx

Hi Kimmema, gumpaste items shold be stored in a cardboard box, away from the light, and in dry, dust free atmosphere. They should last forever!

It also has to do with humidity.

I tried making gumpaste flowers once. They would start to dry and I'd leave them overnight. Then in the morning the would be soggy again. The process would repeat itself everyday. I eventually gave up.

I would love to hear suggestions.
