Does anyone have a strawberry filling recipe they would like to share? I have one that did not turn out well and need something in a pinch. Thanks for any help you can provide.
16 oz. fresh or frozen strawberries, pureed
1/2 cup sugar
3 TBS cornstarch plush 3 TBS water, mixed thoroughly before adding
1 teaspoon vanilla
heat all indredients until thickens, stirring constantly to avoid burning (doesn't take long to thicken)
let cool before using.
if you fridge it, lay down a layer of saran wrap across the top to prevent a skin from forming.
This is my favorite recipe to use for fruit fillings. Just substitute the raspberries with any frozen fruit. I've done it with mixed fruit, blueberries, strawberries, pineapples, and peaches now. Everytime it turned out good.
